Homework
Homework is a very important part of your child's day and essential to his or her success in school.
We use homework as a way to review and practice important skills learned in the classroom.
Homework encourages responsibility and helps your child succeed in school. One way to teach responsibility is by expecting your child to complete his or her own homework.
Homework should take students no longer than 15 to 20 minutes to complete each night, and an additional 15 minutes to read and fill in their log.
Parents:
You are the key to making homework a positive experience for your child.
1. Make it a priority
2. Provide necessary supplies
3. Provide a quiet environment (no distractions: music playing or TV)
4. Have a specific time to complete homework each night
5. Help your child, but do not do their homework for them
